Narrative:
Lee White—a Colorado-based children’s book illustrator, visual storyteller, and educator—wanted more than just a ramp. A lifelong skateboarder, Lee envisioned a space where he could stay active, connect with the skate community, and recharge creatively between projects. His acclaimed illustration work, known for its whimsical yet precise detail, is fueled by the same creative energy he’s always found in skateboarding.
We turned his vision into a fully realized basement skate sanctuary. The mini-ramp was designed to fit the room’s footprint perfectly, delivering smooth, consistent transitions and durable steel coping for a professional ride in a private space.

When complete, it became more than a build—it became a personal haven. Now, Lee can step away from his drawing table, drop in, and ride in a space that inspires him daily. The project shows how we can create unique, high-quality skate structures in any size space, tailored to the rider’s lifestyle and needs.
